Using hot tropical colours and shapes that draw from Singapores reputation as a modern garden city of the east we wanted to create a design that felt vibrant, as though new growth was already starting to sprout from the tunnels of the city.

Flexible, the design allows for variations in form and pattern, so that every station along the line can retain a seperate identity. Digital imaging technology is combined with the powder coating or anodising process to imprint a selected image onto the surface of the chair

The seat is made from a series of curved steel or aluminium sections. Welded together at the base they provide strong support, then seperate to lend the chairs flexibility, allowing them to gently sway.

The chairs can be placed seperately or in rows, in fact many different arrangements are possible. They are designed to provide a dramatic backdrop or panorama as the train pulls into the station.
